Good is Good

thank you - now to the studio..

Thank you to everyone who came down for our Tour! Beautiful to meet friends new and old, and play new ideas in venues new and old.

Music is all about that: combining the ancient groove that have been throughout all of eternity with our unique ideas and takes on it.

NEXT UP: studio time!

Getting inside the rhythms, the asymmetry, the space, the chaos and developing new material is usually an introverted thing. Yet I'm so excited to announce TWO dates, both in London, to share this new material and line-up as we prepare for recording.

Playing the full "Do Not Be Afraid" new materials for the first time.

Jim Hart on drums for the first time with Ruth and Bex!

Come join us.

Do Not Be Afraid of what you believe...

Be Afraid of not believing.

On that note.. please VOTE! (8th June)

vula viel duo gig may 3rd @the lescar, sheffield

Special Vula Viel Duo gig at Jazz At The Lescar May 3rd.
Come if you are in the area. 🌊

"This concert is dedicated to the memory of Adam Warne, much loved and respected percussionist with Unfurl and the Sheffield Indian Music Ensemble (both originally booked to play on this night), who passed away in April 2017. All the club's proceeds on the night will be donated to a cause suggested by Adam's musical colleagues in those bands, so please do come along and make it a huge night. We're immensely grateful to Bex, who kindly stepped in at short notice to make this event happen."
